Enhancing community health through community-based education, research and service in Busitema University (CH-COBE)
Wanume Benon
Project Summary
The CH-COBE project seeks to enhance community health through participatory approaches integrated into the COBERS program at Busitema University. By involving communities in identifying health priorities, implementing locally acceptable interventions, and sustaining health promotion activities, the project will strengthen the link between medical education and community health. Expected outputs include publications, community-owned projects, and improved student integration into rural health settings, ultimately contributing to Uganda’s NDP III and Vision 2040 goals of equitable healthcare access and sustainable development.
